On 6th November 2016, The Oxford School Kollam, witnessed the Grandparents Day celebration in the school quadrangle. The students from grades KG to II greeted and welcomed the elderly guest with roses and self-made colourful cards. Our Principal Mr. Abdurahiman in his welcome speech stressed that the children were really lucky to have their grandparents who are the assets and embodiment of love not only for the family but the society too.
Mr.Balan Mash & Mrs.Merlin Varghese who represented the grandparents recollected and shared their reveries to the gathering. The tiny ones expressed their gratitude and entertaining the guests with various art forms. As a token of love they presented gifts to their beloved grand parents
Games were conducted exclusively for guests viz. passing the parcel, threading the beads which excited them reviving their spirit & vigour irrespective of their age. The winners were awarded with prizes. The love and affection created on air, tightening their bonds of relationship which led to an outlet for their emotion wetting each eye that assembled there.
